DESCRIPTION:Our youngsters are growing up between cultures. Without structured spaces to learn their heritage\, identity can become diluted. Somali Cultural Classes are designed to help the next generation connect with their roots through language\, history\, traditions\, and creative arts. Delivered in a fun and engaging environment\, these sessions build confidence\, cultural pride\, and a strong sense of identity. \nOur Somali Cultural Classes celebrate\, preserve\, and pass on Somali heritage to future generations. They provide a welcoming space for children\, young people\, and adults to learn\, reconnect\, and take pride in their culture. Our aim is to establish these classes across cities throughout the UK\, creating accessible spaces for Somali communities nationwide. \nLearn: \nSomali Language\nDevelop and strengthen spoken and written Somali\, supporting communication\, identity\, and cultural understanding. \nSomali Traditional Dance\nExplore and celebrate traditional forms of expression\, including: \n\nBuraanbur\nNiiko\nSaylici\n\nDance also serves as a form of physical exercise\, promoting fitness\, coordination\, and overall wellbeing in a fun and culturally meaningful way.
